 Breeds in a discontinuous narrow band from Norway to E Siberia. Birds from the reintroduction scheme in Swedish Lapland winter in Netherlands. Others winter Hungary, Black and Caspian Sea areas, northern Kazakhstan and lower Yangtze valley, China. Cat AE*
