Border control post

Bexit has brought an unfortunate downside to weekday visitors to the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust's Killinghome Haven Pits close to the Humber Sea Terminal.

Almost opposite to the site, a new border control post has been constructed for checking food and amimal products, plus plants.

That is leading to long tailbacks of lorries and queuing - as I discovered on Monday.

Was the wait worth it? Not, the best I could manage at the pits was two avocets in the distance, a curlew and a few shelduck/ redshank.

Not sure what the situation  is like at the w/e - presumably much smoother.
