The Encyclopaedia of Birds - a magazine collection

A Donation of Bird Magazines

The RSPB Grimsby Group has been offered a donation of a collection of bird magazines from the 1970's.
The name of the collection is The Encyclopaedia of Birds (all the birds of Britain and Europe). There is a logo on the bottom left hand corner of the magazines stating 'Recommended by the RSPB'. There are many photographs, alongside information and on the back cover of many of the magazines are some beautiful hand drawn pictures, worthy of framing.

There are 70 issues in the full collection but numbers 13/14/15/17/26/27/60/61/62 are missing, leaving 61 issues.

The magazines are available in return for a donation to the RSPB, which you can decide, but which I think should be not less than £25 (i.e. less than 50p per magazine).

Please let me know at martin.francis2@ntlworld.com if you are interested in the magazines. Because of the size and weight of the collection, the person taking them must be able to collect them from the Waltham area.
